Supervises day-to-day work activities, training and development of the Communication staff. Works with management to coordinates overall operations of the communication function for the health plan. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Supervises day-to-day activities, training and development of the Communication staff. 2. Coordinates corporate communications and strategy for e-communication and printed publications. 3. Supervises development, implementation and maintenance of corporate websites (eg. Apex, , etc.) Supports e-strategy plan, including mobile technology, developed by Supervisor and VP of Information Systems. 4. Oversees the design of marketing and communication materials produced in-house. Serves as a liaison between internal departments and outside vendors to ensure production. 5. Supervises coordination of company-sponsored events and sponsorships. Reads, understands and adheres to contracts. 6. Provides oversight of large group RFP/RFI process. Works with VPs of Sales and Sr. Management to prepare proposals to obtain new business, upon request. 7. Supervises coordination of customer and prospect entertainment activities between internal departments and external venues. 8. Coordinates education and ongoing understanding of personnel across the company about corporate communication and graphic standards. Ensures materials for distribution to external audiences are reviewed in advance and are compliant with standards. 9. Collaborates with System Public Relations Manager to share information, write press releases and respond to media requests. 10. Performs all job functions with integrity. Provides timely internal and external customer service in cooperative, professional and respectful manner. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree or may substitute with 4 years of like experience. Required Experience: 4 years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes: corporate communications in a healthcare environment which includes any combination of graphic design, development of marketing materials and collateral pieces for a health plan, business writing such as press releases or newsletter/web articles, coordination and development of advertisements, and professional desktop publishing experience using Adobe InDesign or other publishing software.
