Senior Account Manager-in-Asheville,-NC

Job Description
Maintains direct contact with assigned customers as key liaison for all company activities.
Plans and executes sales programs.
Conducts pricing and other contractual negotiations at customers.
Provides meaningful short and long-range customer/product sales forecasts.
Coordinates and assist engineering in application of company products to customers' needs.
Follows up on customer compliance with company order, pricing and credit policies.
Assures proper product performance and service support is provided to customer.
Facilitates company inter-functional cooperation and communication.
Maintains complete and current customer account files and sales records.
Maintains awareness of and reports on competitor's activities, personnel, strengths and weaknesses at assigned accounts.
Utilizes and controls prescribed portion of sales department budget.
Documents activity through adequate oral and written reports.

Requires a bachelors degree with five to seven yeas engineering/sales/marketing experience.
Requires basic knowledge of fundamentals of internal combustion engines. Knowledge of turbochargers is a plus.
Three to five years experience in diesel engine or automotive component design also a plus.
Must have a strong understanding of developing customer relationships.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
