Primary Function:
This position requires general knowledge of all jobs within the operating area. At the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the employee fills in for employees who are on vacation, breaks or otherwise need assistance.
Position Responsibilities
Position Description:
• Ability to run at least three (3) of the processing machines and/or perform three (3) of the various jobs in the operating area.
• Serves as relief worker in production area during absences, vacations, leaves of absences, and as needed.
• Must perform change- over duties without assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Skill Factors/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred. Must be willing to obtain certification after hire.
• Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensible.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Must be able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
• Works on all lines and performs all positions including changeovers.
Physical demands:
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to perform the following: standing, climbing, pulling, and or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and stooping
• Good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs frequently.
• Vision: 20/20 corrected, and normal hearing range.
• Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
Health/Safety:
• Must wear required personal protection equipment associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties.
